This program is designed to help those who graduate meet the increasing demand for biblically-oriented teachers in Christian schools. Consequently, those who major in Christian Education must also obtain a major in Biblical Education or General Bible, and all professional education courses are presented from a Biblical viewpoint.

A graduate of this program should:

  • Recognize Christian school education as a sacrificial ministry o win and train people for Christ.
  • Apply Bible, ethical, and character building principles in all areas of life.
  • Develop a Biblical philosophy of education, integrating all knowledge with Biblical precepts.
  • Exhibit sufficient familiarity with curriculum, methods, materials, basic skills, and content areas essential to effective teaching.
  • Understand purposes, organizational, management, administration, and operation of a Christian school.
  • Analyze the historical background of various education philosophies and contemporary education trends in view of Christian education.
  • Use Biblical motivational and discipline methods.
  • Be familiar with the growth, development and learning progress from infancy to adolescents.
  • Display a reasonable competency in a supervised teaching experience in a Christian school.
