Our Goal

CEMI is committed to our Lord’s command to go and make disciples of all nations. This training is oriented to fulfilling that task. Our method is expository teaching of God’s Word. We, therefore, examine the text by using the principle and methodology of exegesis. That is, we study the passage to discover its historical, cultural, and literary context. Then we seek to understand, by comparing scripture with scripture, the theology of the passage. Next, we seek to know the Christology or how Christ is revealed in the passage. Finally, we seek to appreciate how the passage might be applied today. Certainly, all study of God’s Word must be done with humility, prayerfully and with a dependence on the Holy Spirit for using those who work under the gift of teaching.

We trust that by the grace of God this discipleship training will better equip you as you labor for Christ.

Our goal is to equip the saints by discipleship training so that they may function more effectively in ministry. Ephesians 4:12

CEMI assists local churches in conducting conferences, seminars and workshops for training and equipping pastors and lay workers for the work of ministry.

CEMI is committed to aiding local churches around the world in evangelism, and supplies them with Bibles, books and other materials for establishing evangelistic ministries. CEMI also provides medical assistance and supplies to countries in need. We collaborate with local pastors in the construction of places of worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ worldwide.

CEMI will not usurp the authority of the local church or replace the local church in world missions.

CEMI discipleship programs have a vision to reach out and provide Bible training to saints throughout the United States and around the world. Additionally, our vision is that God would establish extension schools in other countries such as Guyana, Kenya, Uganda, Liberia, Congo and India, and to raise up saints in these countries to labor as teachers and staff workers.

Why Discipleship Training

01Christian discipleship gives us the privilege of doing what is pleasing to God by serving our Lord Jesus. John 12:26

02It enhances spiritual growth as we continue in God’s Word and learn how to yield to the Holy Spirit as He leads us to bear much fruit. John 15:8

03Our Lord commanded us to go and make disciples. Matthew 28:19

04We are trusting God to raise up laborers for his harvest field. Matthew 9:38

05We are equipping the saints for the work of ministry. Ephesians 4:12

Purpose For Discipleship Training

The purpose of CEMI discipleship training is to provide pastors and lay workers a solid and comprehensive Bible education; to ground them in the Word of God that they may teach and minister to others; to disciple them and cultivate continued spiritual growth; and to train them to be more effective in their ministries.

Discipleship Program

Our Lord Jesus invites us to be His disciple. He wants us to know the Word, experience His Word and teach others how to live by His Word. A disciple literally means a learner, a student and a follower. Our salvation occurs at the moment when, after having received the Gospel message, we put our faith in Christ as our Lord and Savior. While this experience may be instantaneous, discipleship must be learned by being taught the Word of God. As we become Christ’s disciples, we then disciple others. Thus discipleship is a way of life. Discipleship necessitates that we continue in the Word.

Our Lord Jesus said, “If ye continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed.” (John 8:31)

What is at the heart of our discipleship program? To glorify our Heavenly Father by equipping God’s people to bear much fruit. Jesus also said, “Herein is my Father glorified…so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8)
