Statement of Faith

Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, verbally inspired, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who created all things (Gen. 1:1; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Acts 5:3-4; Hebrews 1:1-3).

Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood, and are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God (John 1:12, 3:3-6; Romans 3:21-26, 5:8-9, 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 9:22; 10:1-14).

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he disobeyed God and thereby incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all the Adamic race are born in sin and are sinners by nature and practice (Genesis 1:26-27; 3:17-19; Romans 3:23; 5:12-19; 7:15-21).

Virgin Birth

We believe in the virgin birth, the sinless perfection, the bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven of Jesus Christ, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate (Matthew 1:18-25; Acts 1:9; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 2:1).

The Church

We believe that Christ established the church and is the Head of the church (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18). We believe the Church is an elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body. Its mission is to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel among all nations (Ephesians 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 1:8).

Grace

We believe the grace of God to be sufficient for the maintenance of a godly walk and that Christ, not the law, is the believer's rule of life (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells, seals, and gives spiritual gifts to every believer for the edification of the Church. He guides, fills, teaches, and enables every believer to do the will of God (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 14:1-40; Ephesians 2:20, 4:11-12).

Last Things

We believe in the personal, physical return of Jesus Christ to rapture the Church. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Bodily Resurrection

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the wicked (Daniel 12:1-2; John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:20-58; 1 Peter 1:1-3; Revelation 20:10-15, 21:1-22:5).
